The Essex wedding suppliers you need to know about!
So girl...he put a ring on it! Nice one mate! Now he’s locked you down, and you have a date in mind, now is the really fun part...choosing the amazing suppliers who are going to help you create the best day of your life.
If you are based in Essex, or indeed, Hertfordshire, Suffolk and even London, the suppliers I am about to share with you come HIGHLY recommend...not only by myself, but by a long list of brides and grooms who have gone before you. Honestly, you won't be disappointed! Get a cuppa though...it's quite a list!
The Venue - The Old Parish Rooms, Rayleigh, Essex
It has to be seen in the flesh to be believed but this gorgeous, intimate venue is so unique and so beautiful that it will take your breath away. With pristine, white-washed walls and elegant ‘church-like’ windows, the venue is flooded with natural light and is the epitome of a ‘blank canvas’.
Certainly a departure from the more traditional country house, hotel or barn venue, The Old Parish Rooms has it all; style, intimacy and a super-relaxed atmosphere.
Capacity: 80 for a seated meal, 100 for a non-seated party
The Stylist - Rock The Day Styling
Not only is Laura super stylish herself, but she has great attention to detail and a natural talent for styling weddings and events.

She’s honest and genuine, and works incredibly hard on every brief she is given. How do we know? Well, we have worked with her a number of times and she never fails to amaze!
For trend-led, boho and unique styling, Laura is definitely your lady.
Lisa is an award-winning hair stylist with a god-given talent for knots, braids, plaits, sleek up-do’s and chic down-do’s. She is meticulous, super-quick and she is such a sweetheart...check out her work on Instagram...you will be amazed!
Not only is Amanda an incredible makeup artist, but like Lisa, she is a total sweetie. Leave your makeup needs in her completely capable hands on your wedding day and feel like the goddess you are!

The Furniture - Anthology Vintage Hire
Forget stretchy chair covers and cheap, organza bows...Anthology Vintage Hire have a stunning collection of vintage and reclaimed furniture that will ensure your wedding is a standout occasion; completely fitting for a barn or tipi wedding, or even for that quirky, blank canvas venue.
The owner, Amy, was inspired by her own wedding and the lack of interesting, hirable furniture available on the market. She took things into her own hands and now has a warehouse full of amazing furniture which can be hired out for your special day.
The Dress - Rock The Frock
Gone are the days of stuffy bridal shops with racks of uninspiring gowns. Rock The Frock is leading the way for seriously stylish brides to find a dress worth wearing on their big day. Stocking amazing designers such as Milamira, Chantel Lauren, Saja and Essex-local, Lucy Can’t Dance, RTF also have their own collection which is super cool and fresh.

Their boutique in Chelmsford is the perfect mix of comfortable and contemporary, with a hint of eccentricity thrown in for good measure...because who needs white walls and carpets when you can have a bit of flamingo-infused fun instead?
The Florist - Finishing Touches by Faith Gurel
With an amazing eye for detail and a passion for utilising flowers and foliage which are a little different from the norm, Faith is a real talent in the Essex area.

Not only is she accommodating, thoughtful and passionate about her craft, Faith is also really down to earth and is able to put brides at complete ease. A must when supplying any aspect of a wedding.

The Photographer - Maryann Morris
Now this is a toughie, as there are some incredible photographers in Essex, but Maryann's style is completely lush. Maryann, otherwise known as The Menagerie, travels the UK and even abroad to shoot couples weddings. Her style is natural and effortless, but most importantly, relaxed. She is also a sucker for a quirky wedding filled with creative, unique vibes.

The DJ - Fox & Braces
Gone are the days of the ever so slightly tragic, middle-aged, cliche DJ commandeering the decks at your wedding. If you are looking for something a little different in the way of music for your wedding, then look no further than Fox & Braces.
The duo are completely passionate about sound, and ensuring your wedding has only the best soundtrack! Not a cliche in sight with this laid-back, trendy pair.
The Cake - Lucky & Co
Mother and daughter team, Lucky & Co, are quite literally the sweetest bakers around.

Yearning for dreamcatchers or desperate for macrame? Vintage Garden Weddings are masters of creation. Often working with Laura from Rock The Day, the team are super talented and able to create bespoke backdrops, macrame chair covers and table runners, dreamcatchers in any size, naked teepees and so much more. Give them a shout if you have an idea of something a little out of the norm...I’m sure they’ll be up for the challenge!

The New Kid On The Block - Grape & Fig
Forget canapés. Forget hog roasts. Get yourself a grazing station! And don’t look ANY further than Toria from Grape & Fig. Inspired by the Australisian trend for grazing, Toria set up Grape & Fig to cater for weddings and events here in the UK. Think locally sourced artisan breads, fresh fruit, nuts, cheeses, antipasti and charcuterie meats all finished with homemade dips and chocolate brownies.
