Cue a rainy day in Mount Hotham, Australia; it's wet, windy and moody...but that didn't stop this amazing team from creating a gorgeous elopement for Ximena and Benjamin at a cosy Air BnB, five hours outside of Melbourne.
Infused with deep terracotta tones, the styling was warm enough to create a cute and cosy vibe, despite the weather outdoors. Shann from Events by Shann sculpted an indoor picnic with oodles of rugs and cushions, complete with a roaring wood fire for roasty, toasty feels. Ximena's pearl encrusted wedding gown and hairpiece, both from Moonstruck Bride, glowed warmly in the flame and candle-light.
Photographer, Mel Badsey, pushed the couple to go on an adventure, skateboard in hand, on the slopes of Mount Hotham, and despite the downpour, Ximena and Benjamin glistened and shone as the bonefide stars of the show!
I wanted to create a magical, celestial theme across the wedding stationery, and included the couples star signs in the vow cards. I added picturesque mountains, moons and stars into the envelope and details cards, and utilised a number of die cutting templates to achieve a multitude of shapes; arches, circles and waves. I chose terracotta, black and almond toned cards to work in with the wedding cake, florals and groom suit.
Rain and wind didn't stop us...don't let it stop you!
